Renowned French DJ, producer, and artist, Agoria, who is a well-known figure in the NFT art scene, has decided to express gratitude to his fans and collectors in a unique way. As the founder of the Sapiens record label, Agoria is offering a shared stake in the royalties from his upcoming record as a tribute to his community, which he affectionately calls “Agorians.”

Agoria’s idea to create a piece for his community is both unifying and innovative, as it presents a system that appears to have an infinite loop, resembling great enthusiasm and support among the fans. Recently, the song received a warm welcome from audiences in Ibiza, reflecting the positive feedback Agoria had when creating the piece from an arpeggio. The official release party for the song would be held on June 7 at the NFC Lisbon event in Lisbon.

For this project, Agoria collaborated with Bolero, a blockchain-based music platform, and utilized the platform’s newly-launched “Song Shares” feature. With this system, fans holding an NFT-based song in their wallets can earn rewards via Bolero’s service. As claimed by Bolero’s CEO, William Bailey, their growth has surged significantly since the launch of Song Shares in late January.

A significant 90% of the Agorians Song Shares are set aside for the biggest collectors of Agoria’s NFT artworks on Ethereum and Tezos, while the remaining 10% will benefit the song’s NFT holders. To claim their royalties, individuals must create an account on Bolero and connect their wallets. Bailey believes this shift towards traceability and redistribution has the potential to empower artists and creators by providing a more direct compensation structure, ultimately changing the dynamics of the music industry.

Agoria’s exploration of NFTs spans from his entry into the NFT space in 2021, minting artworks on platforms like Foundation before expanding to others such as OBJKT and SuperRare. He seeks to unravel the profound connection between sound and the human brain through his collaborations with scientists like biologist Alice Meunier, exploring the intersection of music and neuroscience.

With substantial recognition in the art scene, Agoria sees NFTs as an opportunity to disseminate scientific discoveries to a broader audience and even delved into artificial intelligence tools to explore biological generative art. He reminisces about his introduction to the digital art space during a gathering held in Arles, southern France, back in October 2021, which led to the consistent growth of his community, comprising digital art and music enthusiasts.

Agoria has focused on fostering interaction within this community, using platforms like Twitter and Discord to propel discussions based on music and art, hoping to reciprocate the support he received. The commitment of his community to real, long-term development has exceeded his expectations and continues to delight Agoria as he embarks further on this journey.
