ProBit Global has recently announced the addition of Ethereum (ETH) into its trading competition series. This contest series allows users to win rewards based purely on their trading volume, offering traders a low-risk chance to accrue more assets. This latest addition to the series features a total prize pool of 5,000 USDT up for grabs.
The timing of Ethereum’s inclusion in ProBit Global’s popular trading contest coincides with the successful completion of the cryptocurrency network’s Shapella upgrade. This upgrade introduced new features to the Ethereum network, such as the ability for validators to withdraw their staked 32 ETH from December 2020. As the dust settles on speculation surrounding the upgrade’s impact on the price of ETH, this competition offers traders the chance to potentially win a share of the sizable 5,000 USDT prize pool.
Data from token.unlocks and analytics firm Glassnode reveal that the impact of the Shapella upgrade was not as severe as some in the market had anticipated. Instead, it appears that the upgrade has served to strengthen the Ethereum economy, with many speculating about the long-term effects that this shift could have on ETH’s value. The transition from the Proof of Work (PoW) to the Proof of Stake (PoS) mechanism has brought more crypto enthusiasts into the fold, sparking a renewed interest in ETH.
ProBit Global Product Marketing Manager, Berkay Tuncay, has remarked that “It seems a good time to get some ETH into the hands of more crypto enthusiasts—both new and old—considering the tidal energy that an improved Ethereum network will likely produce over time.” He further notes that the attention garnered by the Shapella upgrade and Ethereum’s transition has been significant.
Slated to run from May 2 to 15, 2023, this competition offers traders the chance to test their trading skills as the Ethereum network develops. Some industry experts suggest that the evolution of the Ethereum network could lead it on a divergent path from Bitcoin, potentially causing a significant increase in value.
The top 20 volume traders in the ETH/BTC and ETH/USDT trading pairs will share the 5,000 USDT prize pool, with the highest-ranking trader taking home 450 USDT and the 20th place trader receiving 175 USDT. Each participating trader must stake at least 100 PROB in order to be eligible for the competition. The membership level of each trader, based on the amount of PROB staked, will unlock lower trading fees, providing an additional incentive for participation.
