Intriguingly, multiple similarities seem to link Faint to a second scammer named “Soup,” notorious for stealing millions from Discord servers. If proven, this connection could suggest a networked underbelly of crypto manipulators operating with shared tactics and perhaps objectives. However, despite promising investigative trajectories, CertiK is yet to confirm the actual identities or names of these hackers.
Echoing this is the blockchain security company’s emphasis on proactiveness. While undisclosed identities like Faint’s continue to pose threats, crypto users must shield themselves from potential wallet draining attempts. Tools like Wallet Guard and Pocket Universe can alert users of connections with known wallet drainers, forming the first line of defence. Moreover, individuals should undertake personal precautions like validating addresses and ensuring signatures aren’t phishers.
