To enhance compliance, Google plans to expand its Ads Transparency Center, facilitators’ access to data, visibility for content moderation, in addition to constructing a new Transparency Center for its policies. It also proposes to undertake a more in-depth risk assessment.
However, Google did voice apprehensions about potential drawbacks of these strategies, warning the information provision could be manipulated by mischievous entities to spread harmful misinformation. The objective of the EU’s DSA is to harmonize content regulations across the region and to create specific methods for content moderation online.
